A mixed-methods study into how dating app algorithms quietly shape users' emotions and sometimes exploits their emotional experiences. Through a survey(n=56) and in-depth interviews(n=6), uncovered how manipulation, monetized visibility, and identity-based bias erode trust and translated those findings using speculative design probes to explore what other ethical alternatives could look like.

A tangible, glowing 3D city map that helps people discover local events without another app to scroll through. The concept moved from cardboard sketches to a working Raspberry Pi–powered prototype with real-time event updates, built over several stages of design and iteration as part of a 5-person team.
